We have arrived! After a long flight, an insane taxi ride, and a wonderful lunch on the Piazza Navona we made it to our hotel that overlooks the Pantheon!

After a much needed nap and refresh we set out on our own little walking adventure. We ran into the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. We stopped and had a glass of wine (or beer if you're my dad) right at the top. It was wonderful. We also got some cool roses. Don't mind if I do.
Then we ventured up the street at the top of the steps to a gorgeous Cafe for Mother's Day dinner! The view was spectacular, the food was incredible, and the bathroom was insanely confusing. Oh. and there were turtles right in the middle of the restaurant. Awesome.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped by the Trevi Fountain one more time and got some gelato. Apparently mint gelato in Rome tastes like mouthwash. Who knew.
